Fault code 92 on the BMW E46 N46 engine often indicates issues beyond the airflow sensor, such as wiring faults or throttle body problems. Since replacing the airflow sensor didn't clear the code, inspect the sensor's wiring harness for damage or poor connections. The BMW DME M1.1 (and similar, 1.2 and 1.3) is an early Bosch Motronic ECU, used on all of the 6 Cylinder BMWs up until 1990, and a few more after that.

M1.1 and M1.3 was used on the M20, M30 and M40 engines, whilst M1.2 was used on the S38 and M70, which are the early E34 M5 engines and the early V12s. How can I fix the issue?
