Steps to Build a 2-Drawer File Cabinet
Step 1: Cut the Pieces
Using your cut list as a guide, cut all the pieces to size with a circular saw or jigsaw. Ensure you're working on a stable surface and wearing appropriate safety gear.
Step 2: Assemble the Cabinet Box
Apply wood glue to the edges of the sides and bottom piece. Align the sides with the bottom and attach using 1-1/4" wood screws. Reinforce the corners with pocket hole screws for added strength.
Step 3: Attach the Back and Top
Attach the back piece to the cabinet box using wood glue and 1-1/4" wood screws. Ensure it's flush with the top of the sides. Then, attach the top piece in the same manner.
