Assembly
Cut and Prepare Pieces
Using your cut list as a guide, cut all pieces from your plywood and lumber. Sand any rough edges with 120-grit sandpaper. To create a smooth finish, you can also round over the edges of your shelves and the top of your cabinet with a jigsaw.

Attach the Back and Bottom
Apply wood glue to one of the long edges of the back piece and attach it to the inside of one of the side pieces using pocket hole screws. Repeat with the bottom piece, attaching it to the bottom edge of the side piece. Ensure the cabinet is square by measuring diagonally from corner to corner – if it's not square, adjust the pieces until it is.
Add Legs and Supports
Attach the legs to the bottom of the cabinet using wood glue and brad nails. Ensure they're evenly spaced and level. Next, attach the supports to the inside of the legs using wood glue and brad nails. These will provide additional support for the shelves.
Add Shelves
Starting at the bottom, place a shelf on the supports and attach it using brad nails. Repeat with the remaining shelves, spacing them evenly apart. You can use a measuring tape to ensure they're level.

Attach the Top
Apply wood glue to the top edges of the sides and back, then attach the top piece using brad nails. Ensure the cabinet is still square.
Fill Holes and Sand
Use wood filler to fill any nail holes or gaps. Allow it to dry, then sand the entire cabinet with 220-grit sandpaper for a smooth finish.
Finishing Touches
Now that your cabinet is assembled and sanded, it's time to paint or stain it to match your space. Use a paintbrush or foam roller to apply your chosen finish, following the manufacturer's instructions. Allow it to dry completely before placing it in its final location.

Building a simple storage cabinet can greatly improve the organization and aesthetics of your space. With a little time and effort, you can create a functional and stylish addition to your home. Happy building!
