Hi all. Really need a total bathroom refit. Looking at B&Q etc rather than a tradesperson so I can utilize 0% credit.
Wondering if people have positive or negative reviews of their installation services? Many thanks. We had our bathroom designed and installed via wickes. Probably the biggest mistake we've made really and certainly not worth paying a premium for over just getting a local bathroom fitter to take care of everything.
We had such a time of it that the ombudsman are reviewing our order and installation issues. I had a whole wetroom install and floor to ceiling tiles for £2.8k VAT inc, that included them building the wetroom bit, tanking and most of the removal of old bathroom. B&Q bathroom installation -should I avoid?! sehaigh Posts: 1 Newbie 9 January 2011 at 9:49AM Hi We're having a B&Q bathroom designer round next week to quote on redoing our entire (small) bathroom. By googling "B&Q bathroom" all the search results are horror stories about inflated costs and shoddy workmanship.
Is it all bad?! Hello, I've been designing a bathroom with B&Q and, after the installer visited, the installation quote has shot up massively (by more than £2000). They have said it is the "worst case scenario" as they don't know what work will be needed to the walls when the current panelling comes down, and they'd rather charge more and pay me back than have to ask for more money half way through.

Has anyone used a bathroom installation service from the likes of Wickes and B&Q? Hi all I'm planning getting my bathroom done soon but I've had previous issues with tradesmen and it makes me nervous. My bathroom and boiler guy is a good lad for example, but when he fixed my bath tap, he left a mess and sealent in the actual bath.
