Resulting in surfaces that reinterpret the Italian tradition with a contemporary twist, 70Materia is also a laboratory of ideas. 70Materia, a significant player in the market of interior and exterior coverings, premiered at Milan Design Week: Satellite Kitchen.
Satellite and Fondamenta, and all the different types of surfaces, are projects developed by the creative team at 70Materia in collaboration with architects and designers. Satellite is a modular kitchen with an understated, functional design. It is a minimalist project characterised by authentic materials and primary shapes.
Origine is a tribute to the territory of 70Materia, the Veneto region of Italy. The mix consists of locally sourced raw materials, cement and water, and its texture changes according to the colour, texture and grain of the local raw material. Orbita is an experimental project which investigates new research avenues for Satellite, 70Materia's modular kitchen system.
Building on the understated design and surfaces of 70Materia®, Orbita pushes beyond the aesthetic and functional boundaries of Satellite, in partnership with emerging and leading designers from the contemporary scene. Satellite is designed to accommodate the main household appliances on the market, such as a gas or induction stove, and a built-in oven and dishwasher, thus permitting users to perform the full range of kitchen.
