The Chuck '70 line includes the classic black high top and a mustard yellow high top, along with red, parchment white, and navy blue low cut oxfords. I'm not quite sure where the decision to make a mustard yellow high top came from; it never was a very popular color back in the 1970s. Why is there not a lot of color options for Chuck 70 and why are the colors mostly light color?
I currently have a pair of White Chuck Taylor low tops and an all black Vans slip on, Im confused about whether i should get the black chuck 70s or the brown ones, which is more versatile and the better option in your opinion? The chuck 70 has held up beautifully! It's still a solid and comfortable shoe that just gets better over time. The build quality is phenomenal and over all, I love it much more than the all star.
When I wear my all stars now, the all star feels honestly like a toy. It doesn't feel like a solid shoe that is made for daily wear. Go look up 70s chucks on the web and you'll see that the actual chucks made in the 1970s looked just like regular chucks now.
70s are $20 nostalgia tickets, sold for bragging rights and extra profits at Nike headquarters. tldr: Chuck 70 isn't a regular Chuck. But that don't mean it's a better Chuck.

Anyone wear chuck 70s with tan/khaki pants that can make a color recommendation? I have a black pair that doesn't quite look right with them. Converse created a premium version of its classic Chuck Taylor All Star sneaker with the Chuck 70. Is the more supportive shoe worth the extra cost?
