I would like to use a few shelves of an Expedit for CD's. The cube is about 13" square and 15" deep. I was hoping one of us has come up with an inexpensive storage solution that utilizes the most area but still makes it user friendly.

A standard Kallax unit can't fit two rows of DVDs. I'd like to take one and make each cube section big enough to fit two rows of DVDs and three rows of CDs, with dividing shelves. Any ideas how to do this? ~ BestaPete.
Not only does this IKEA Hacker project by Huib von Essen reuse and refresh three discontinued IKEA BOALT CD racks, but the solution even incorporates 15 clear empty CD cases as transparent shelves for displaying small items (on a related note, CD racks installed horizontally also work great as toy shelving/display) and you know you've got at least a few of those empty cases laying around. Does anyone have suggestions for an effective way to store CDs in Kallax shelves? I thought this was the most appropriate sub, because most long-time music collectors have no shortage of CDs and I've never seen a lot of satisfying storage options. There must be someone else with this problem who has a solution.
