"Unleash Your Creativity: Dragon Ball Z SSJ4 Coloring Pages for Kids & Fans"

For fans of the Dragon Ball franchise, few transformations are as iconic—or as visually striking—as Super Saiyan 4 (SSJ4). While this form made its debut in Dragon Ball GT rather than the mainline Z continuity, it has cemented itself as a fan-favorite through sheer aesthetic power. It blends primal ferocity with refined Saiyan might, and its unique, fur-covered, red-and-grey design makes it an absolute standout for artists and colorists alike.

The Unique Appeal of SSJ4 Designs

What separates SSJ4 from the standard blonde-haired Super Saiyan evolutions is its deliberate return to the Saiyan's Great Ape (Oozaru) roots. The result is a form that feels both ancient and evolved—a warrior cloaked in crimson fur, with defined muscle, sharp golden eyes, and hair that returns to its natural black but grows wilder and more untamed. This complexity is precisely what makes Dragon Ball Z SSJ4 coloring pages so compelling to work on.

Unlike simpler spiky-hair transformations that rely mostly on yellows and light tones, SSJ4 demands a broader palette. You're working with deep reds, warm skin tones, dark greys, and sharp contrasts. It pushes casual colorists to think about shading, layering, and texture in ways that a standard Super Saiyan page simply doesn't.

SSJ4 Goku vs. SSJ4 Vegeta

Both Goku and Vegeta achieve this form in GT, though their SSJ4 designs are distinctly different. SSJ4 Goku is the most commonly featured on coloring pages, with his exposed torso, brown wristbands and boots, and that wild mane of black hair. Vegeta's version typically includes additional armor elements—most notably a tank top given to him by Bulma (since he couldn't achieve the transformation through natural means the same way Goku did)—giving colorists completely different clothing elements and textures to explore.

Popular Characters Featured in SSJ4 Coloring Pages

Super Saiyan 4 Goku — By far the most requested design, usually depicted in mid-transformation or combat stance.
Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta — Slightly rarer, but highly sought after by fans of the Prince of all Saiyans.
Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta — The fusion of Goku and Vegeta in SSJ4 form, incredibly detailed with the signature vest and multicolored hair.
Baby-Vegeta (influenced forms) — Some fan art coloring pages explore Baby's parasite-influenced take on the Saiyan form.

Why Dragon Ball Z SSJ4 Coloring Pages Are Perfect for Skill Development

If you're looking to level up your coloring technique, SSJ4 designs are a genuine workout. The fur texture alone requires careful attention to direction and pressure—whether you're using colored pencils, markers, or digital brushes. The muscular anatomy beneath the fur demands understanding of light sources and how shadows fall on curved surfaces. And the intense golden eyes? They're a masterclass in creating luminosity against dark backgrounds.

For younger fans, these pages offer something equally valuable: engagement with a beloved character through an activity that demands patience and focus. SSJ4 coloring pages are notably more detailed than standard Dragon Ball sheets, which makes them better suited for older kids, teens, and adults who genuinely enjoy the meditative quality of precise coloring.

Tips for Coloring SSJ4 Pages Like a Pro

Element	Recommended Approach
Crimson Fur	Layer light pink first, then build with reds. Use a darker maroon or burgundy for shadow depth.
Black Hair/Streaks	Avoid pure black; use dark grey with blue undertones to keep it from looking flat.
Golden Eyes	Start with a yellow base, add orange around the edges for a glowing effect.
Skin Tones	Peach base with warm brown shadows on defined muscle areas.

Where to Find High-Quality SSJ4 Coloring Pages

The internet is packed with free and premium Dragon Ball coloring resources, but quality varies dramatically. Sites dedicated to anime and manga fan art often feature higher-resolution line art that holds up better when printed or zoomed in digitally. Fan communities on platforms like DeviantArt and Pinterest are excellent sources for unique, artist-created SSJ4 designs that go beyond the standard official merchandise prints.

You'll also find themed PDF collections on educational and hobby sites that bundle SSJ4 pages with other Dragon Ball GT content—Baby, Super 17, and Omega Shenron are common companions. These themed bundles are worth seeking out if you're building a dedicated Dragon Ball coloring collection.
