"Like many admirers, we knew the home was one-of-a-kind," says Parker Blanchard, who purchased the then-dilapidated structure with his wife, McKenzie, in 2013, and enlisted architect J. Ryan Duffey for its restoration.

There is one house in Atlanta that I have coveted ever since I was a child. Located on Peachtree Battle Avenue, the Evans-Cucich house is one of the very few Art Deco houses in Atlanta. Before I even knew what Art Deco was, I could tell that this house was unique.
It certainly didn't look like the other the 1920s and 30s. This Art Deco house, made of cast-concrete over multiple-wythe brick, was built for Hiram W. Evans of the Southern Construction Company, who more famously served as Imperial Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan from 1922 to 1939.
