New York City's newest landmark is the "Red Room" at 1 Wall Street, featuring with glittering mosaics by Art Deco muralist Hildreth Meière. The former banking room is visually striking, with walls that mimic the curved stone facades of 1 Wall Street, one of the earliest Art Deco skyscrapers in New York City and itself a designated individual landmark. In addition to revamping the historic Red Room as a retail space, Printemps is also paying homage to Art Deco splendor with the Red Room Bar, an opulent cocktail lounge adjacent to the Red Room.
