The purpose of this project is to document the occurrence of mysterious bumpy beech bark (disease? pathogen?) around the region. Please take and include several photos of the bumpy bark and include notes. Helpful information: is the host beech tree dead, did you observe it on more than one tree, any other observations? Host tree species is Fagus grandifolia, American beech, so only observations of beech will be in the project.
