BMW ends the X3 M, leaving behind one of the best-driving, most balanced M cars. Here's why it might just be a future classic. With the new iX3 on the horizon, BMW is reportedly discontinuing the gas X3M with the current generation of X3.
The BMW X3 M first came on the scene in 2019 as a high-performance version of the third-gen X3. If a new report is to be believed, the model will be a one. The news comes from BMW Blog, which claims that the German brand is focusing on coming out with the iX3 M and making that the high.
The BMW X3 M is being discontinued primarily because its next generation will be integrated into a new, hybridized model line, signaling a shift in BMW's performance SUV strategy. Instead however, BMW is executing its electrification initiative by introducing high-performance M-derived EVs, and the X3 M's replacement, the supposed iX3 M, is an example of this. Although it's hard to imagine BMW selling more M3s than X3 Ms in the past couple of years, canceling the combustion.
As fans of the BMW X3 M, we're always on the lookout for news about this high-performance SUV. Recently, there's been a lot of chatter about whether the BMW X3 M discontinued is a real possibility. With the automotive industry shifting towards electric vehicles, it's natural for us to wonder what the future holds for our favorite model.
