BMW EV Charging expands in 2025 with NACS plugs, Tesla Supercharger access, and adapters for older BMW EVs for easier long. Access to Tesla's Supercharger network has officially gone live for BMW's EV owners, opening up another 25,000 chargers for use. The BMW EVs with access (i4, i5, i7, and iX) are natively equipped with the CCS1 charging port.

To use Tesla Superchargers (and other NACS chargers), drivers must use a NACS-to-CCS1 adapter. BMW plans to release its official NACS-to-CCS1 adapter in Q2 2026, which is a few months away. However, until then, customers may use a third.
