Bmw E30 Electric Mirrors Not Working

Well, after the carwash, I discovered that both exterior mirrors do not work when using the electric mirror switch. However, when on reverse, it still does the parking mirror thing.
My husband checked the fuses -they're both working. WHAT IS WRONG? Any ideas? My passenger side mirror is no longer working.
I just had the car painted and the door harnesses were unplugged from the jambs and both mirrors were removed and painted separately. After putting everything back together, the passenger side mirror no longer works. It clicks when you are adjusting both the driver side mirror or when you try to adjust the passenger side mirror but it does not.

If you have an older BMW with vertical folding electric mirrors that no longer work or have too much play in them you have two choices. Well, I found out why my mirrors aren't working: the female plug connector was completely broken off inside the remote switch and the wires were just dangling unattached. And there doesn't seem to be any way to pry out the sheered half of the connector that's inside the switch so I'm glad I bought a new switch to begin with.
But now I need at least new plastic connector, if BMW sells it. Once the epoxy has set, test the strength of the repair by rotating the mirror housing around the base. If it seems adequately repaired, install the motor and wiring, mount the mirror assembly back onto the car, and reinstall the mirror glass (turning the ring clockwise).

There's not a lot to check for the driver's side, if you're certain power is getting there. Fit the switch and check for power at the brown and blue/white wires at the mirror plug.
