Bmw K1200r Abs Delete
I removed the ABS system of my 2005 K1200R including removing the hard lines etc. Replaced with the non ABS line on the front. You will have to remove the electronics from the ABS unit and connect back up to have your speedo working and you will have the red light on the dash.
In today's episode, i am removing the ABS / Anti lock brake system / servo actuated brakes / power assisted brakes or whatever you want to call it from a BMW k1200 motorcycle. Unfortunately, failures of the ABS system can be quite common on models fitted with electric servo-assisted ABS. Brand new replacement Servo ABS units from BMW can cost upwards of £1500+ VAT and fitting, however it is not uncommon for these to also fail in the future.
This item is a tidy way of removing the servo ABS unit from your bike but keeping the OEM pipe work in place. This will return. Just bought a clean 05 K1200S with 19k miles on the odometer for cheap.
Doing some research for info to removal/delete on these later servo. I am removing the abs unit from my k1200r, I am waiting for the motorworks delete kit to arrive. I know I need to keep the electric controller part of the abs unit plugged in for speedometer etc what.

On the earlier K1200RS with ABS II (non-servo) you must remove the rear wheel (no caliper removal required), the seat, plastic pannier mounts, both sidecovers, the battery & its stainless steel tray, the left hand passenger footpeg arrangement, the charcoal canister (if equipped - now where DID that thing get to when it's time to put it back on.
