Green Space Dark Skies invites 20,000 people, from all paths in life, to make a journey into the landscape together. There, we will illuminate wild and beautiful places across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland as dusk falls. Open to all, each mass gathering celebrates nature, our responsibility to protect it and everyone's right to explore the countryside.

For Green Space Dark Skies, thousands of people from all paths in life became Lumenators, each carried a low impact light into the landscape. Together, we experienced beautiful green spaces across the UK. Thousands of lights made patterns on mountains, lakes and moorland across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

#GreenSpaceDarkSkies invites you to join thousands of people, at a series of outdoor art events, to celebrate nature, our responsibility to protect it and everyone's right to explore it. Using. Green Space Dark Skies, a project from LUCI Associated Member Walk the Plank, is a transformative initiative commissioned for UNBOXED: Creativity in the UK 2022.

This project invited 20,000 participants to explore National Parks using special "geolights" powered by renewable energy. Led by Walk the Plank, the interdisciplinary endeavour engaged engineers, poets, and artists to create. Green Space Dark Skies invited thousands of people, from all paths in life, to make a journey into the landscape together.

There, they experienced beautiful landscapes - National Parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty - across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland as dusk fell. Green Space Dark Skies, led by Walk the Plank, commissioned as part of UNBOXED: Creativity in the UK invites 20,000 people to make a journey into the landscape together. Green Space Dark Skies Exciting news! We're part of a ground-breaking, national programme of events Green Space Dark Skies which is happening in extraordinary outdoor sites across the UK.

We'll be leading on the event happening in the Exmoor National Park on 28th May. 500+ people will gather in a (currently) secret location at twilight. With Green Space Dark Skies, accessibility isn't just a commitment - it's the driving force behind the whole project.

Open to all, this series of mass gatherings celebrates nature, our responsibility to protect it, and everyone's right to explore the countryside. Our motto? Everyone is welcome. Green Space Dark Skies is all about helping people to discover the joys and benefits of getting out into nature and celebrating the role and value of protected landscapes in a modern society.

Green Space Dark Skies will enable people from all walks of life to forge new connections with the countryside by supporting those who experience cultural and physical barriers to experiencing our National Parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty to access events.
