De kleine burg: an off-grid Tiny House community in Rotterdam It takes a few years, but then you've got it made. As early as 2016, Tiny House pioneers Jan. Sylke en Kevin genieten al zo'n anderhalf jaar van hun zelfontworpen tiny house van maar liefst zes meter hoog.

De Kleine Burg is een tiny house-project van de gemeente Rotterdam waar duurzaam wordt geleefd. Het stel bemachtigde een plek met uitkijk over het meer. Dankzij zonnepanelen, regenwaterfilter en een composttoilet leven ze met hun kat en cavia's bijna volledig off-grid.

Neem een kijkje! Dorp in de stad Community De Kleine Burg is het eerste en enige tiny house-park van Rotterdam. Elf zelfvoorzienende woningen vormen een minidorp in de stad.

Omringd door groene volkstuinverenigingen en de Zuiderbegraafplaats, maar op loop. De Kleine Burg is het eerste Tiny House community project in Rotterdam. Bij dit tijdelijke project voor een periode van 10 jaar worden de Tiny Houses permanent bewoond.

Het streven van dit woonexperiment is om te ervaren hoe het is om off grid (niet aangesloten op NUTS-voorzieningen) duurzaam te wonen en samen te leven door voorzieningen te delen. De proef locatie is gelegen in het Zuiderpark. De Kleine Burg, een dorpje van elf tiny houses in het Zuiderpark.

Hier leven bewoners off grid zonder voorzieningen als gas en elektra. De Kleine Burg is de eerste Tiny House plek in Rotterdam en enige Tiny House plek in Nederland met een streven om off grid te wonen en leven. Door deze uitdaging aan te gaan met diverse groep mensen in all levensfases stimuleren we maatschappelijke vernieuwing en anders wonen.
