Toyota Gr Yaris Hydrogen Engine

Toyota didn't build a new engine for the purpose. Instead, it modified the GR Yaris's turbocharged 1.6. Toyota has long been among the strongest proponents of hydrogen as a power source, and has now showcased its experimental hydrogen combustion engine technology in the GR Yaris, in which its G16E. While the Mirai uses a chemical reaction within the fuel cells to generate the energy to power the car, the experimental GR Yaris boasts an internal combustion engine with hydrogen as the fuel.
