Dark Bedroom Reddit

I once painted a bedroom a very dark matte charcoal color like almost black. With white trim and ceiling. It was very relaxing and made the room feel cooler at night.

We also had lighting sconces on either side of the bed, which looked amazing against the dark wall. Artwork with gold frames really popped on that wall too. Loved it!

As for a dark or light bedroom, that I suspect is just personal preference. The only suggestion I'd have is, if you're truly unsure, and intend to try both, try the light first because it's much easier to paint that dark than to paint a dark room light haha. Personally, I love a dark bedroom.

There's something nice about crawling into a cave at. I'd paint my whole apartment dark but I get no sunshine at all and already basically live a vampire lifestyle so I'm trying to refrain. My bedroom is dark though.
