The Memorial Union is always here for you. Located in Corvallis, Oregon. The Memorial Union sits at the heart of the Oregon State University campus and serves as a central hub for students, staff, and faculty.

OSU Memorial Union Mission The Memorial Union supports the University mission by creating community centered inclusive facilities and environments, providing formal and informal gathering spaces that build meaningful relationships. We are a student. The Memorial Union (MU) is the student activity center at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon, USA.

It contains a ballroom, cafeteria, bowling alley, shops, and study areas. It was designed by Oregon Agricultural College (a predecessor of OSU) graduate Lee Arden Thomas. The Memorial Union has 15 indoor rooms - ranging from board and conference rooms to presentation spaces to large-scale reception venues - that are available to the OSU and greater off-campus community.

For outdoor events, the Memorial Union Quad and Student Experience Center Plaza are available for student organizations and OSU Departments to host tabling activities or larger events. Rates. The Memorial Union (map) is the hub of the OSU campus, restaurants, MU Lanes & Games, and much more.

The MU was the first student union in the state, opening in 1928. When it was dedicated on June 1, 1929, the Memorial Union was the first student union in the state and its funding came from alumni and student contributions. Construction on the grand building was completed in 1928 and the MU quickly became the center of campus life.

Designed by Portland-based architect and 1907 OAC graduate Lee Thomas, the MU stands as both a student center and memorial to. Memorial Union AV Equipment Rates Group A: Student Fee Funded Departments (SFF) and Recognized Student Organizations (RSO) will receive Group A Rates which is equal to 70% discount of rental fees.
