Are 'forever chemicals' in my water?

This map shows public drinking water systems that have recently submitted test results for forever chemicals to the Environmental Protection Agency. Larger spikes indicate higher concentrations.

No PFAS detected systems found no detectable amount of 29 types of forever chemicals in their water.
PFAS detected water systems detected PFAS, but the annual average wasn't over the limit or they detected only a type the EPA doesn't currently limit.

The following groups may need to act to comply with the EPA's new rule:
PFAS over limit water systems measured chemicals up to three times above the limit when an entire year’s results were averaged.
PFAS well over limit water systems measured forever chemicals from 3 to times over the limit when an entire year’s test results were averaged.
