The problem is the oil pan/subframe for RWD cars. But maybe with interest from the N54 that could be solved? the oil pans are the same. N55/S55 could probably be done too but I haven't looked at those DMEs at all yet.

I swapped it from a Manual 135i. You will need to redo the subframe and the steering rack and you will need to punch in the fire wall a bit for the turbo intake pipe that is behind the engine. I ordered a custom radiator and ac cuz they will not fit in the e30.

We know they will fit, but what exactly is needed to make them work? Over the weekend I watched a fair few videos on E30's and engine swaps trying to find out how much they cost but nobody seems to give similar answers. Daunting and tedious. I did that with my N55 to E36 swap. I wanted to swap into E30 but gave up because of the oil pan issue.

I did all of this back in 2013. then sold the car, then the guy sold the car to someone else, and it is still out these running fine 11 years later with the same swap.
