The new BMW iX3 ushers in a new era of driving pleasure. Unveiled at IAA Mobility in Munich, this first production model of the Neue Klasse features a bold new design language, sixth-generation eDrive technology, impressive electric range and charging performance, and the advanced BMW Panoramic iDrive. The wraps came off the 2026 BMW iX3 50 xDrive in Munich this morning, an all-new all-electric vehicle that heralds the the automaker's Neue Klasse 2.0.

Today, the new Neue Klasse family makes its production debut at the Munich Motor Show in the form of the iX3, arguably BMW's most important car in decades. The BMW Neue Klasse will debut in the form of the all-electric iX3 50 xDrive, with other packages to follow. "The Neue Klasse is our biggest future-focused project and marks a huge leap forward in terms of technologies, driving experience, and design," BMW Chairman Oliver Zipse said ahead of today's debut of the new iX3.

First out of the gate is the luxury compact five-passenger iX3 50 xDrive, which had its global debut at the 2025 IAA Mobility auto show in Munich. Why the iX3 first? Everything we know so far about the 2026 BMW iX3, the first Neue Klasse SUV.
