Did The Bmw 335d Come In Manual

The 335d did not come in a manual, and from what I've read, it's just not possible to manual-swap it. The 6MT units at the time weren't designed to handle 425 ft-lb (576 nm) of torque, and the units that are capable of handling that much torque are literally too big to fit into the E90 chassis. Much less power and there was a manual transmission offered with it the GS6-53DZ 6 speed.

Now, the US 335d was never offered in a manual because of claimed torque numbers and BMW didn't want to make a special manual trans for the US cars. Hi everyone, I just recently purchased a 2011 M-Sport 335d. Since both my E36 and E46 were manuals, my biggest issue with the E90 335d is that it only comes in automatic. Even my Wife is disappointed! I didn't get the paddle shifters on mine, so it's kind of a downer, even with steptronic.

My question to everyone is this: 1. What is the feasibility of swapping in a 6 speed manual from say an. BMW's configurator may just be wrong.

I love the 335D, and I wouldn't want it with a manual. Do you know how fast and often you would have to keep up-shifting with a manual? The only reason the car appeals to me is cuz it would be the ultimate leisure machine. Manuals and User Guides for BMW 335d.

Hey folks, Wondering if there is such a thing as a 335d with manual transmission. BMWNA website does not even offer that configuration on the current year model, but I thought may the manual trannies have not hit the assembly line for that model year yet, something that BMW does frequently with. The 35d engine has never been in a manual configuration.

BMW never made any car with the 35d engine have a manual, the transmission simply wouldn't take the torque this engine produces.
