Bmw Vehicle Finder Gps Not Enabled
Haven't used my BMW app in quite a while and after opening noticed "gps not enabled in vehicle" message under "vehicle finder" for my '19 30i. Get message "gps is deactivated" and to "please activate". Is anyone else having trouble with the "vehicle finder" in the MyBMW app? I noticed it wouldn't show me the location recently, and the app tells me GPS is turned off in the car.
This happened previously but GPS Tracking check box actually had become unchecked somehow. This time I found it is still enabled. I tried pulling fuse 115 to reset the TCU and phone commands to the car seem to succeed.
A popup message will appear that states "Service deactivated: Vehicle status and current location will not be transferred to BMW and will not be displayed in My BMW App or in the My BMW Portal" Click "OK" to confirm. Please note: If the vehicle tracking is deactivated, the vehicle will not be displayed in the My BMW App. 2017 X5 - My BMW app says GPS not enabled in vehicle.
When I go to the vehicle I found this path (in the picture). I do not see the Vehicle Tracking option, however. Am I doing something wrong? Is this a known issue? I am currently paying yearly for use of the app.
