Hi all, Some time ago, I had posted an IKEA hack (see title), and it got a few good replies and good questions. I promised I was going to show the layout for the rack, and pics for the finished display cabinet. Here goes.

I was looking for an isolated guitar cabinet / display, but the commercially available solutions were in the thousands of dollars. Instead, I recycled an IKEA display by adding dust & water isolation and adding a PVC piping rest. You don't always need to store your guitars in a guitar stand, you can display them in style.

This one is hacked from an old IKEA EXPEDIT 5×5 shelving unit. Only the bottom row is retained and the top section given a new wooden panel. The same can be done with the KALLAX shelving unit.
