Ic 4603 Nebula. Ic 4603 is situated close to the celestial equator and, as such, it is at least partly visible from both hemispheres in certain times of the year. The brightness of the star washes out the reflected color giving the nebula a nearly white appearance.

Photographed above is the central part of the nebula ic 4603 surrounding the bright star sao 184376 (actually 8th magnitude) which mostly illuminates the blue reflection nebula. Ic 4603 is a nebula in the ophiuchus constellation. Ic 4603 is situated close to the celestial equator and, as such, it is at least partly visible from both hemispheres in certain times of the year.

This image depicts it only partially, because the nebula itself occupies an area of about 45×20 arcmin and the image is 36×36 arcmin. The brightness of the star washes out the reflected color giving the nebula a nearly white appearance. The simbad database classifies it as a bright nebula surrounding the bright star sao 184376.
