Netinfo is a program designed to help administration of IP addresses in a campus. It collects IP and MAC addresses from predefined Routers and Switches and provides the network location of each pair. A brief history for each IP/MAC address is kept.
It can hold predefined IP-to-MAC and MAC-to-IP mappings and check the collected pairs against them.
Read the README file for installation instructions. You can access the user interface
help by pressing the
icon at the top-right of each
screen.
Latest versions of netinfo can be found at http://www.it.teithe.gr/~v13/.

The user interface was designed and tested using Konqueror 3.0.8 and Netscape 7 browsers. It makes extensive usage of CSSs and will probably not work with older browsers. Mozilla 1.0rc1 seems to work fine. Netscape 6.1 has some problems but will do the job. It seems that internet explorer is unable to handle transparent PNG images... too bad... The UI looks a lot better when viewed using anti-aliased fonts.
