Bathroom - Tiling vs Cladding/Wall panels? Hi All! Myself and my husband have come to a disagreement on how to decorate our bathroom once the new one has been fitted. I'm in favour (and always have been) of tiles, whereas he prefers cladding. I personally hate how cladding looks.
Hello, I am renovating my bathroom and am wondering how good wall panels are in the bathroom? I've seen some nice embossed tile effect ones and they look easier to maintain and install than regular tiles. Would love to hear honest reviews from installers or end users of laminate or solid surface shower wall panels. Please no input from manufacturers or sales reps or infomercials either.
I'm sure someone can create custom acrylic panels for the walls. It's the same principle as marble, but a material closer to vinyl in terms of application. However, any custom service takes more than "one day", as Bath Fitter advertises.
Vinyl is the cheapest, least downtime, most easily change. Shower wall panels that look good? hey, I want to replace my tub+shower with a walk-in shower. I would like to use some solid (full height) panels on two walls, and frameless glass on the other two walls (sort of like this).
And we are looking at Swanstone wall panels for the tub/shower surround. We have a traditional tub & shower combo (cast iron tub with shower surrounded by three tiled walls) and may keep our tub, demo the tiles, and install Swanstone walls and a glass door. Anyone used plastic shower panels rather than tiles to redo a bathroom? Looking for ways to renovate our very tired looking bathrooms without learning to tile and came across the concept of these floor to ceiling panels that you just glue onto the existing wall.
Has anyone here used them? Were they easy to fit? Have they lasted? What's everyone's experience of shower panels so these are the wall panels that fit in the shower. Matt or gloss? What's easiest to cl.
Bathroom wall panels offer a stylish, DIY-friendly alternative to tile or stone for wet areas of the bathroom, including tub surrounds and shower stalls. I did my entire bathroom with them 3 years ago, two different styles, gray tile one for walls, and a granite style for the wall in shower. I'll never use tiles again in a bathroom, huge array of styles, sizes and finishes.
