One Piece Colored Vs Black And White

I am intending to start reading One Piece. However, I cannot decide whether to read the coloured version or the black and white (bnw) version. The bnw version is up-to-date with 1035/1036 chapters while the coloured version I have found has ~942 chapters.

For some early parts of the manga the scans I can find are a little fuzzy in the quality, but the colored has good quality the whole way through.
