Types of Murphy Table Round

Freestanding Murphy Table Round

Freestanding Murphy tables are not mounted on the wall but have a base that allows them to stand independently. They are easy to move around and can be placed against a wall when not in use. However, they do not fold up completely flat, so they may still take up some floor space.

Wall-Mounted Murphy Table Round

Wall-mounted Murphy tables are the most space-saving option. They fold up completely flat against the wall when not in use, freeing up the entire floor space. They typically come with a mounting kit and can be installed on any sturdy wall.

Folding Legs Murphy Table Round

Folding legs Murphy tables are a unique type that combines the best of both worlds. They have legs that fold up or down, allowing them to be used as a regular table or a wall-mounted table. This type of table offers the flexibility of a freestanding table with the space-saving benefits of a wall-mounted table.

Considerations When Choosing a Murphy Table Round

Before you make a purchase, there are several factors to consider to ensure you choose the right Murphy table round for your needs.

Size and Capacity

The size of the table is crucial, especially if you plan to use it for dining or as a workspace. Ensure the table is large enough to accommodate your needs but not so large that it dominates the room when folded down.

Weight Capacity

Consider the weight capacity of the table. If you plan to use it for heavy items like a desktop computer or a large dining table setup, you'll need a table with a high weight capacity.

Installation

If you're not confident in your DIY skills, consider a table that comes with easy-to-follow installation instructions or one that can be professionally installed.

Style and Finish

Choose a table that complements your existing decor. Murphy tables come in various styles, from modern and minimalist to classic and traditional. They also come in a range of finishes, from wood to metal, to suit different tastes.

Conclusion

A Murphy table round is an excellent investment for anyone looking to maximize their space. Whether you live in a small apartment, have a home office that doubles as a guest room, or simply want to free up some floor space, a Murphy table round is a versatile and stylish solution. With the right table, you can transform your space into a functional and beautiful living area.
