Fall Colors Are Peaking Now In The Bay Area! Here's Where To See Them Autumn is here, and these parks, forests and coastlines are exploding with those Bay Area fall colors you've been craving. With the peak for autumnal colors just around the corner, check out five of the Bay Area's best spots to get the most out of this fall. In the South Bay and Peninsula area, the best spot for peak-time fall foliage is the Rancho San Antonio Preserve, home to a huge population of maples, oaks and flowering persimmons all displaying glowing colors of red, orange and yellow.

The gold, orange and red colors of fall foliage can make you feel like you're in an artist's painting. In the Bay Area and California, it's not as easy to find these vibrant autumn shades as it is in some other parts of the country. But if you know where to look, you will be treated to Mother Nature's colorful show.

First, he captured the leaves in the area around his home in Sunnyvale, where the leaves where still at peak. The Bay Area is known for its redwoods and other giants, but that doesn't mean we don't get to see the yellow, red, and orange hues of autumn.
