Bmw Coolant Float Stick

After removing the cap you have to tap the float stick slightly, no need to worry unless you see white residue on or near the tank:thumbup: 2003 540i M. I checked the coolant level this morning (completely cold engine) - it's about -6 deg C here if that matters, and noticed that the coolant float stick was stuck / bent in the lip near the filler cap. Is it ok to drive at least for a week without the stick + the broken plastic pieces inside the tank until i can take it to a mechanic? Got a low coolant warning indicator on my 2011 335d. Upon inspection, the coolant in the reservoir was low and when I topped it off, I noticed that the stick had separated from the float.
