Abstract Sensitizing fluorescent materials is an effective way to maximally use excitons and obtain high-efficiency blue organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). However, it is a persistent challenge for present amorphous thin-film OLEDs to improve photon emission under low driving voltage, severely impeding the development of OLED technology.

Good color purity, stability, and green, red and blue emission at reasonably high efficiency are necessary for a full-color OLED display. The efficient DB emitters, in particular, can effectively reduce power consumption and be used to produce more visual emissions and white lights by transferring energy to the right emitting dopants.
