Times, units and interpretation
Lead hours are measured from the configured model run. Axis dates and hover valid times use Australia/Hobart, including daylight-saving changes. Hover also shows UTC. Generation time is when this HTML was built, not the model run or valid time. The run date is supplied by generation configuration; the workbook filename alone does not verify its full date.
GFS rainfall is a sampled rate multiplied by 3 hours in the source extraction: a 3-hour equivalent, not a verified interval accumulation. Its running sum includes the +0 sample and sums available equivalents; it is an approximation. Missing rainfall samples are skipped by the existing running sum, so gaps can make it incomplete. Chart gaps are retained; no missing source value is filled on an original-data trace.
Surface wind/gust: km/h; upper-air wind: m/s; temperatures: °C; humidity: %; pressure: hPa; geopotential height: gpm. Directions retain the source-workbook convention; no rotation is applied. Source wind and gust fields are independent; a gust below wind speed is not corrected here.
These single-run meteograms differ from stitched multi-run town products. Compare only matching model, location, run and time window. Model disagreement and longer-lead uncertainty are expected. Use official warnings and local observations for operational decisions.
