Amazon Fire TV devices are either rebranded devices or devices that share a common communication protocol, making it possible to use them with the Android Debug Bridge integration. Configuration To add the Amazon Fire TV integration to your Home Assistant instance, use this My button. This integration is the result of reverse-engineering the "TCL Home" Android app.
For setup, we only need the username/password used for the app. Since this is not an official integration from TCL, I recommend creating a new user for this integration and sharing your devices with that user. Hello everyone, I wanted to share my experience with integrating my TCL 43P615 TV into Home Assistant.
It's been a bit of a journey, but I'm happy to say I've got it working! I started by researching the Android TV integration component, as my TV runs on Android TV. The initial setup seemed straightforward, but I hit a snag when trying to remotely turn on the TV using the turn_on command. Just got a TCL TV and have it added to Home Assistant.
I'm able to turn it off, on etc. Currently I have an automation that when I walk into the office, it turns on the TV and switches the source to computer. Works perfectly and is amazing.
How. I have a TCL Television that I want to add to home assistant. The only intergrations I see are TCl with Roku (which mine doesn't have).
My HA did pick it up as a generic DNLA media renderer, but the only control it gives me is volume. All I really want is ability to turn on/off and switch inputs. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Instructions on how to integrate Android and Fire TV devices into Home Assistant. I'm considering moving from an LG Smart TV (which has a Home Assistant integration) to a TCL smart TV but couldn't find any native integration. How are you integrating your TCL smart TVs? What's the expeience in Home As.
This custom component will give you two new services for controlling TCL Smart TVs (Non android version). Tested on my S69 series TV. I have seen some reports about it working on other brands as well, mainly Thomson - popeen/Home.
The Notifications for Android TV / Fire TV service was introduced in Home Assistant 0.32, and it's used by active installations. I'm looking at TCL TVs and don't have any need for the Roku vs Google vs Android OS (I use Apple TV). I do wish to have HomeAssistant control over basic functions (power, volume, inputs, etc).
From what I can see the Roku version is the most integrated. I'm willing to pay a little premium if that's the case. Just wanted to make sure that was the case.
A 65-75" TV is not something I.
