While all Transformers can usually be assumed to see in the same visual spectrum of colors than humans see in, there are obviously exceptions who are completely color-blind, and some Transformers demonstrate different perceptions (usually wherever the plot calls for it). In the G1 series, we can see there that the Autobots have blue eyes while the Decepticons have red eyes. Even in the movies they apply the same concept.

Personally, I think that any faction should sport any color. Such is with Beast Wars, where Optimus Primal, Rhinox, and other Maximals sport red eyes, RID 2015, where numerous Decepticons have blue, and the Unicron Trilogy, where both Autobots and Decepticons have all sorts of different colored eyes. So there's blue eyes, yellow eyes, purple eyes, and green eyes.

When ever someone turns evil they're color becomes darker and more intense like D-16, Starscream, Soundwave, and Shockwave, all have yellow eyes to begin right and well every time someone is in a rage and hatred then they start to turn orange then into red like Megatron and Starscream but Soundwave and Shockwave still have. The transformers have multiple eye colors such as red, blue, green, and even purple. Though the eye colors are not specific to any faction, a certain color is seen more in one faction than the other.

The most common eye colors in Transformers are red and blue. Like, will the eye color of a transformer help determine what faction it is in? I noticed that the majority of Autobot eyes are colored blue, then Decepticons are Red, but there have been a few exceptions. Devastator and Lockdown have green, and Demolishor has orange.

Does this reflect their personality type or something? Decepticon - Wikipedia, but his eyes are yellow not red. transformers eye colors though in general are in fact reserved for specific factions, if you take a closer look at the individual level, you'll see that eye color doesn't really mean anything in transformers.
