Hyundai Q1 2024 Sales
Hyundai Motor Company today announced its 2023 annual and fourth quarter business results. Last year, the company sold 4,216,898 vehicles worldwide, up 7 percent from 2022. Annual revenue increased 14.4 percent to KRW 162.7 trillion.
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., April 2, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- Hyundai Motor America reported record-breaking total March sales of 76,920 units, a 2% increase compared with March 2023. Q1 Highlights In the first quarter, Hyundai total sales were 203,554 units, a Q1 total sales record and an increase of 10% year-over-year. Q1 retail sales were 181,075, a 9% increase compared with Q1 2024 and a record for the first quarter.
Hyundai also set new Q1 total and retail sales records for Santa Fe, Tucson, Palisade, and IONIQ 5. Electrified total sales were up 38% with hybrid. Sales of Hyundai electric vehicles are up 100 percent in Q1 2024, which helps the brand to an all.
Hyundai sales figures passed an all-time record in March and Q1 2024 in the U.S., with EV sales for the quarter surging 62% compared to the previous year. Hyundai set total sales records in March for IONIQ 5 (+58%), Tucson PHEV (+62%), Tucson HEV (+48%) and Palisade (+58%). Hyundai EV sales increased 100% and all eco-friendly vehicle sales combined hit 11,485 units, a 35% increase. Fleet volume was 11% of total sales.
Hyundai sold 184,804 units in Q1, for a total sales increase of 0.2% compared with Q1 2023, setting a new Q1 record. Hyundai Motor North America started 2024 strong with record first-quarter deliveries for its Hyundai and Genesis brands, driven by gains in electric vehicles and hybrids. 2024 (January to December): Hyundai Motor America increased passenger vehicle sales in the US by 4% to 836,802 cars - the fourth consecutive record year for Hyundai.
Tucson HEV, IONIQ 5, Santa Fe HEV, and Palisade established new yearly sales records. 2024 was also a record year for retail sales of 742,009, an increase of 4% compared with 2023.
