Hi Everyone, Looking for some advice. We are thinking of visiting Italy countryside in September/October for a 1 week quiet and relaxing trip. General idea is to get someplace to stay in some nice small town with a train station so we can take the train for any day trips nearby.

Are there still parts of Tuscany left. Tuscany would encourage to rent a car and stay in the countryside (Chianti is gorgeous and close to Florence). Can go to winery, Siena/San Gimignano, etc.

Ocean side preferred. In my area you can still find old countryside houses which need total renovation for about 50k euro or even less. But if you're looking for something similar in the Chianti or Langhe area price would be way higher.

Take your time to visit and study the territory there are so many beutiful underrated places here.
