Vertuo Pop Exit Descaling Mode

STEP 9 Lock the lever. The light should still be blinking orange quickly. This is an indication that you have entered descaling mode.

If not, start over from Step 3. Press and release button once to begin descaling. Light will continuously blink throughout the process.

Once the solution has finished running through, machine should be silent. Discard the solution and return the empty container. How to exit descaling mode will depend on which Nespresso machine you have.

Most models will exit descale mode automatically once the rinse cycle is complete. However, this will only work if you've correctly followed all of the steps in the descale instructions for your Vertuo or Original machine. More on that in the next section of this article.

Exit descaling mode by pushing the lever and button down at the same time, for 3 seconds. The light will turn green and steady. Descaling is now complete.

Clean drip tray, cup stand, and capsule container. Allow machine to cool for 5 minutes. Machine is ready to use.

Press the lever down once within 2 minutes, to start Descaling. The light will blink/flash orange once every 2 seconds, indicating it's in the Descaling mode. Place a (large) container to collect the used descaling solution at the spout.
