I've found rough ideas of what I think most of the materials (i.e bath, taps, loo, sink and vanity, shower and enclosure, tiles and flooring) but have absolutely no idea about the cost of the actual work. Have brought a new house and needs a new bathroom. I was thinking £10k seemed a reasonable budget, but have been quoted £18k and most bathroom fitters aren't even replying to me.

What flooring? Storage? Thanks for any advice and if. We had our bathroom done a few months ago and cost around £4K, used a general builder and plasterer had to rip out the old bathroom and this included moving pipework and whole new bathroom which we bought online. If you are happy to buy suite online and organise builder yourself it can be done much cheaper than somewhere like wickes.

Hello, We're starting to plan a new bathroom and a shower room for our extension and would love to hear you recommendations for bathroom suppliers. My bathroom (no bath!) is small - both my DDs have bigger bathrooms. Me and one DD have used large tiles so minimal grout lines to clean, and grout is dark, so always looks clean.

Other DD has small tiles with white grout - looks pretty grotty and high maintenance. I have a shower cubicle, they don't, just a glass screen.
