The Paladins defeated Mourning Glory Dodgers 4-3 in penalty kicks to claim the Men's Masters 2 playoff championship.
It was a hard-fought, high-tempo game. The Paladins ran off to a 3-0 lead in the first half on goals by Braden Mertz and Andy Gibson (2 goals). The Dodgers scored late in the first half and twice in the second half to tie the game, forcing penalty shots.
The Dodgers scored their first penalty shot. Tom Der replied with a goal for the Paladins.
Corey Apesland saved the second Dodgers shot. Darren Stretch scored the go-ahead goal.
The Dodgers missed their third shot, and Braden Mertz scored to give the Paladins a 3-1 lead.
The Dodgers missed their fourth shot, which clinched the win for the Paladins.
