Paladins win 6th Annual SAS 7v7 Field Turf Tournament - January 28-30, 2011

The sixth annual Saskatoon Adult Soccer 7 vs. 7 field turf tournament is in the books. The tournament gained popularity as 29 teams competed in four categories. Here is a recap.

MEN'S MASTERS - PALADINS

The Paladins, who sit in the middle of the top masters' league standings, seem to like the scoreline 3-2. They played four games with that result, winning three times and losing once. After finishing second in the round robin, the Paladins eliminated Condors in the semifinal.

The team then met College Park FC, who surprised Whiskey Jacks 5-0 on the other side of the bracket, for the championship. Although Nathan Browne scored twice for the Paladins, it took penalties to separate the two determined clubs. The Paladins got the best on this day and took home the championship.
