Paulding Village Council met in Regular
Session on June 18, 2018, at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at the Municipal
Building. Mayor Greg Reinhart called the
meeting to order.
Finance Director Annette Hasch called
roll with the following members present: Randy Daeger, Greg White, David Burtch,
Tim Boss and Dan Workman. Solicitor
Harvey Hyman was also present. Council
person Barb Rife was absent.
Dan Workman motioned to approve the
minutes of the June 4th Council meeting, seconded by David Burtch. Vote: all yea.
Karen Sunday asked about the ground
restoration of Helen Street. She also
asked when the street department would be starting on Nancy Street. No one had any status updates.
Harold Hasch Jr. asked when the
waterline extension will be done near his house on Countryview Drive. Finance Director, Annette Hasch said she
talked with a contractor today to see if they could fit the project in their
schedule as soon as possible. The
contractor will be getting back with her on Tuesday after they review the
specs.
Ordinance No. 1549-18 re: An Ordinance Regulating Parking within the
Village Limits of Paulding, Ohio and Repealing Ordinance No. 1518-16 in its
Entirety was read for the second time.

approval to assess the water & sewer for the following properties:

Dave Burtch motioned to approve the water
& sewer assessments, seconded by Dan Workman. Vote:
all yea.
FEMA has a meeting at the Black Swamp Nature Center on
Thursday, June 28th from 9-11.
The Village received a Notice of Class 1 Permit
Modification from Lafarge Corporation.
Mayor, Greg Reinhart would like to appoint E. Thomas
Ault for Village Administrator pending his acceptance with a start date of July
23, 2018 with a salary of $46,000. David
Burtch motioned to approve the appointment of E. Thomas Ault, seconded by Dan
Workman. Vote: all yea
Mayor Greg Reinhart relayed that the EMS reports for
May 2018 are in the Council packet.
Solicitor, Harvey Hyman said he is
still researching the modification of the Golf Cart Ordinance. Since the passing of our golf cart Ordinance
in 2008 the State of Ohio has changed some of the laws regarding golf carts on
public roads. The Village’s regulation
are close to what the State of Ohio has, but he is proposing the Village
ordinance be more in line with the State of Ohio rules and regulations.
Randy Daeger motioned to pay the bills, seconded by Tim
Boss. Vote: all yea.
Deb Martin from RCAP (Rural Community Assistance
Program) was present at the meeting to talk about an Entrepreneurial
Communities Project. RCAP is applying
for a grant for this project. David
Burtch motioned to join RCAP’s Entrepreneurial Communities Project, seconded by
Dan Workman. Vote: all yea.
Greg White motioned for Council to move into Executive
Session to consider a pending legal matter, seconded by Randy Daeger. Vote: all
yea.
Randy Daeger motioned for Council to move into Regular
Session, seconded by Dan Workman.
Vote: all yea.
