HRSPOA Board of Directors meeting minutes

December 12, 2018

A Board of Directors meeting was held in the Cambridge Clubhouse on December 12, 2018. 44 members were present.

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by our President, Bob Souza.

There was a moment of silence and the Pledge of Allegiance.

New members introduced themselves.

Board members in attendance:Bob Souza, President; Melissa Rice, Treasurer; Bruno Bucco, Clubhouse Director;

Nelson Pole, Entertainment Director; Emerson Walker, Grounds Director.Ed Lochner, VP; Judy Ricker,

Secretary was absent.A quorum was present.

In place of Secretary, Judy Ricker, Leslie Hanlon, read the minutes of the November 14, 2018 Board of Directors meeting.

A motion was made to accept the minutes, approved unanimously.

President, Bob Souza:

         Problem with program operating KEY FOB for access to club house. Bids taken and ECS Security chosen for $9,230

to include gate directly into pool enclosure. Motion passed unanimously.

         Bids taken for CUTTING OF TREES on common grounds..Motion made to accept bid from Mikes Tree Cutting

Service $9,200 to include stump grinding..Seconded and approved unanimously.

         Comment make by Ed Bernard regarding Special Olympics activities and their donation of 2 solder displays,

now on opposite sides of stage.

         Asked for volunteers to run for the Board.No one volunteered.

         Mention made of removal of stones and replacement of pavers at 8051 Shenandoah Drive.Board accepted unanimously.

         Assessments will remain the same as last year to begin being collected 1/1/19.

         Office will be closed December 19th through January 2nd for the holidays.


Dollar General has one year from November 20th, 2018 to begin work

Roadwork will begin in our development by Martin County.We will be notified by the county.

Vice President, Ed Lochner:

         Violation letters have been sent out.Monday, personal visitations will begin.

         Speed limits need to be watched.

         Discussion of what needs to be done to change By-Laws.



Treasurer, Melissa Rice:

         Financial report-read and approved.

         2019 budget was read and approved

         Assessment billing will be mailed out the end of the month as assessments are due 1/1/19.


Clubhouse Director, Bruno Bucco:

         Solar panels will be on next week.

         Thank you to all the roof volunteers.

         Discussion regarding the Flea Market.†† Bruno and John OíConnor will chair.

         Need donations.

         Items in good, sellable condition,NO TVs.

Entertainment Director, Nelson Pole:

         Discussion regarding upcoming events:

         Dinner dance for December SOLD OUT.Need help in the kitchen.Roast beef by Betsy.Cooking Friday and Saturday.

         New Yearís Eve party with Rich Otten. No dinner. BYO.Coffee and water will be available

         Annual picnic-January 12. No Charge.Need several volunteer grills.

         Breakfast to be sold on January 6th.

         Dance on 1/19.Music by Brotherís band.Baked potato with all the fixins.

Debra Wild who lives on Independence is beginning a new travel club.
