this program as an administrator" and then click Apply and then
OK
7.
If done correctly, the option for "Run
this program as an administrator" should be grayed out. Click OK
to finish.
Scan with MalwareBytes Cont...
1. If
not already on Dashboard, click on Dashboard on the menu on the left
2. There
are a few ways to kick off a scan.
a. The
fastest and easiest is to click "Scan Now" from the
Dashboard
b. Second,
you can click Scan from the left side menu
c. To
run the recommended scan, click on "Threat Scan" and then
click the "Start Scan" at the bottom
d. To
run the Custom scan such as a scan on a pen drive you just plugged in to your
computer, then click on "Custom Scan" and click the "Configure
Scan" at the bottom
e. The
next window will allow you to point to the specific folder or device that you
need scanned. Just point it where you want it to go, by expanding the
drive and then the folders until you find the one you want. Put a check
in front of the desired folder. Now put a check in front of "Scan
for rootkits" in the center options and click "Scan Now"
(in
my example below, I pointed it to my user files on the C: drive)
