Welcome to Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Xi Mu Zeta Chapter!
As President, it is my privilege to welcome you to our official website. Since our founding, our sisterhood has been guided by a shared commitment to Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood.
Xi Mu Zeta Chapter was chartered March 10, 1989, and is located in Markham, Illinois.
Our membership includes more than one hundred college-educated members.
We are committed to serving our community through annual programs and initiatives, including Girl Power, Thanks4Giving Baskets, our Toy Drive, Wreaths Across America, March for Babies, Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Mental Health Month, and the Breast Cancer Awareness Walk.
For us, community service is not simply something we do; it is at the heart of who we are.
The Pearl Foundation is the charitable arm of our chapter. The foundation focuses on providing scholarships, supporting community initiatives, and mentoring youth.
We support three youth auxiliary groups for young girls: Pearlettes, ages 4 to 8; Amicettes, ages 9 to 13; and Archonettes, ages 14 to 18.
We also sponsor
Mu Phi, an undergraduate chapter located at Loyola University Chicago; the
Zeta Amicae of Markham, a group of women who do not hold bachelor’s degrees but share our commitment to community service; and the
Zeta Male Network, a group of men who partner with us to advance our service goals.
Our chapter is built on the foundational pillars of lifelong sisterhood, academic excellence, and a deep commitment to community service. Together, we strive to embody the highest ideals of Finer Womanhood in everything we do.
Whether you are a sorority sister, prospective member, community partner, or visitor, I invite you to explore our website. Learn more about our upcoming events, scholarship opportunities, and the bond of sisterhood that inspires us to serve.
Thank you for visiting and for supporting our mission.
Janet L. Gardner, Ed.D.
