Experience a Somatic Retreat in Sicily (Modica)
This retreat is less about getting away and more about practicing a way of living that supports regulation, presence, and embodied clarity. The days are designed to help your nervous system settle, reconnect you to your body, gently bring awareness to the patterns you live within, and support changes that last beyond the retreat - so you can live from your body rather than around it.
The retreat is held in a restored 1800s Sicilian villa in the countryside near Modica, a UNESCO World Heritage baroque town, with the coast just ten minutes away. Honey-colored stone holds the warmth of the sun, and the land opens wide in every direction. The setting is quiet and spacious, offering natural conditions for rest, focus, and ease. Without effort, the pace slows—and your body follows.
Practices are woven into daily life rather than separated from it. Mornings begin with movement and breath. Meals are shared slowly and prepared to nourish and ground. Afternoons offer space for somatic group work, reflection, and conversation. Evenings are unhurried and soft. Each session is guided gently and without rush, allowing emotion, insight, and regulation to unfold naturally.
This is an intentionally small gathering, designed so there is real time and attention for each person and the work can remain personal, responsive, and unhurried.
The nervous system shift is subtle and lasting. It doesn’t come from doing more, but from being held in an environment designed for restoration.
“She didn’t just follow a schedule; she felt our energy and adjusted with grace… ensuring we had a rich, unhurried experience.”
— Retreat Guest
“A rare blend of warmth, wisdom, and authenticity — I felt genuinely met throughout the retreat.”

Somatic Retreat
May 30–June 5, 2026
THE FOUNDATIONS OF WHOLE
The experiences you move through are informed by neurophysiology, interpersonal neurobiology, and polyvagal theory. Alexandra integrates principles from Somatic Experiencing®, Compassionate Inquiry®, Hanna Somatic Education, offering practical ways to release tension, support regulation, safety, and physical and emotional integration.
This work is also informed by yoga and Ayurvedic living, grounding modern nervous system understanding in rhythms of movement, nourishment, rest, and daily life. Together, these perspectives create a balanced approach that is both precise and human—supporting change that is embodied, sustainable, and lived. Your system begins to shift naturally—out of chronic vigilance and into states associated with safety, clarity, and vitality.
Meals are integral to this experience. Seasonal, organic, anti-inflammatory food supports digestion, metabolic steadiness, and circadian rhythm, helping your system stay grounded and resourced throughout the day. Eating becomes part of the regulation, not a break from it.
By the end of the week, what you carry home isn’t a set of techniques, but a felt sense of how to return to safety, process emotion without overwhelm, sleep more deeply, and create spaciousness in daily life.
“She balanced flexibility with meticulous planning, creating a space where I felt both safe and cared for throughout the journey.\"

Who This Is For
This retreat is for you if you:
- are high-capacity and often the steady one for others — but rarely feel deeply met yourself
- understand stress intellectually, yet still feel it living in your body
- move through life competently and responsibly, while sensing something quieter in you wants more space
- notice subtle bracing — overthinking, over-functioning, holding it together — and feel ready to soften
- are in a season of transition and want clarity that comes from within, not from pushing forward
- crave presence over performance, depth over intensity, regulation over adrenaline
- want to understand your nervous system in a way that changes how you live — not just how you think
- love beauty, shared meals, honest conversation, and attuned community
This is not about self-improvement or optimization.
It is about being met — especially in the places that learned to brace.
What You’ll Leave With
- a toolkit of science-backed practices to help your body shift from stress to safety
- the ability to interrupt stress spirals before they take over — and shift your body from bracing to safety
- a steadier internal baseline — not numbness, but grounded clarity
- clearer body signals around needs, boundaries, yes and no — and the confidence to act on them without overexplaining
- less internal debate. More coherence between what you feel and how you move
- a felt sense of wholeness — mind, body, and presence in the same room
- a lived memory of being attuned to — the kind of change that reorganizes how you relate to yourself
- community you can return to
“I left transformed—mind and body renewed… a newfound sense of calm and intention.”

What Makes This Retreat Special
What makes WHOLE different is the way the work is held. Practices aren’t performed—they’re lived. Meals, movement, stillness, conversation, and rest are woven into a single arc of authentic care.
Alexandra leads with trauma-informed attunement—adjusting pace and practices to the group’s nervous system rather than a rigid itinerary—so your body can soften and integrate.
The quality of presence guiding the week consistently shapes guests’ experience. Alexandra listens closely to the group’s nervous system, allowing days to move with both structure and spaciousness. Moments of beauty, emotion, or connection are met rather than rushed—creating a sense of safety, ease, and coherence that guests often describe as the most transformative part of the retreat.
“She operates like a Maestro, conducting the flow of the day with remarkable intuition and empathy.”

\"I attended Alexandra’s Tuscany yoga retreat in September 2025, and the experience was magical. The villa she selected was nestled in a beautiful Tuscan town, with stunning outdoor spaces perfect for yoga, group sessions, shared meals, and quiet moments of relaxation. My bedroom offered a breathtaking view of the countryside and included a private bathroom, adding a touch of comfort and privacy.
Alexandra prepared delicious Ayurvedic meals, which we shared as a group—each one sparking meaningful conversations and genuine connections. The international group she brought together quickly became what I now consider my global family. Each person came from a unique background, and our diverse perspectives led to deeply insightful discussions.
The retreat offered a rich variety of experiences both during and after our time together. From somatic yoga, daily reflection, and group check-ins, to biking through charming country towns, enjoying a tuning session with Alexandra, walking to nearby vineyards, and driving through Tuscany to visit hot mineral springs or dine in picturesque towns—the days were full, yet nourishing. The length of the retreat was ideal: long enough to become fully immersed, yet leaving room for continued travel and exploration afterward.
Alexandra is a truly special person—someone you don’t realize how much you need in your life until you spend time with her. Her intellect and deep knowledge of Ayurvedic living and spiritual practices are remarkable. She brings a rare blend of warmth, wisdom, and authenticity, connecting genuinely with everyone she meets. She balanced flexibility with meticulous planning, creating a space where I felt both safe and cared for throughout the journey.
I left the retreat transformed—mind and body renewed. I’ve brought home not only Alexandra’s nourishing recipes to share with my family, but also a newfound sense of calm and intention. This retreat was a profound experience, and I sincerely hope to join one of Alexandra’s future retreats again.\" - Paula Brice, PA

\"My recent 5-day wellness retreat was transformative, and that is largely due to our incredible host, Alexandra Ni. While the location and activities were wonderful, it was Alexandra's unique presence that made it perfect. She operates like a Maestro, conducting the flow of the day with remarkable intuition and empathy. She didn't just follow a schedule; she felt our energy and adjusted with grace, ensuring we had a rich, unhurried experience.
The most telling moment was during her sound therapy. When distant church bells began to chime, she didn't just continue—she paused, inviting us to absorb the unexpected beauty. In that moment, she taught us that wellness is about being present, a lesson she embodies perfectly. I am so grateful for her guidance and cannot recommend her highly enough.\" - Clark Fivek

\"This was the perfect blend of relaxation, expansion and exploration of the body soul and spirit and Italy! From Tuscan Villa in a vineyard, to medieval cities, Hot mineral waterfall (White whale) this far exceeded any expectations… alexandra prepared the most delicious and ayurvedic meals with ease and grace … the fellow participants were diverse in backround age and experience but all brought a willingness to share and connect… memories I will carry for a lifetime!!\"- Laura Grippa, MD
