Surely, it is the month of Yeshua. Just think about all He accomplished in the month of Nisan some 2,000 years ago! There is no definitive meaning of the name Nisan. Some say it comes from the Hebrew root word that means “bud.” It is during this month that the earth is covered with buds ready to burst into new life. King Solomon sings of this new beginning in these poetic words, “For lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone, the flowers appear in the earth, and the time of singing is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land” (Songs of Songs 2:11-12).
Others say it comes from the root word that means “miracles,” and yet others say it means “flee.”[1] Its original name of Abib meant, “barley ripening.” For the Barley to be ripe during Passover is very important because it was offered to the Lord as “first fruits.” Jesus offered Himself to the Lord as the first fruit of many on the feast of First Fruit.
Going back to our text in Exodus 12:2, “This month shall be for you the head of the months; it is the first for you of the months of the year “(looking at the Hebrew letters in the words for you (lachem) are the same letters as those in the word, king (melech), which the sages say indicate that we must honor this month, the month of Nisan/Aviv more than any other month…it is the King of all the other months…the Rosh…the Head. HaShem speaks of it as the FIRST of all the other months! (taken from unitedisraelworldunion.com)

A careful study of scripture opens the eyes of each student to the fact that all through the Word of God we see an artist painting pictures. Beginning in Genesis and continuing from one book to another, pictures are painted that point to Yeshua the Messiah and Savior of mankind. These pictures are hidden in plain sight, we call them sweet manna hidden in plain sight. When the Holy Spirit removes the veil from our eyes, these pictures become obvious to us. Such is the case of the picture the LORD painted when the Hebrews were instructed to dip hyssop in the blood of a lamb and apply it to the doorposts. All those that did this would be protected from having death enter that home, they would be saved. The picture painted was, “The blood of the Lamb Saves.”
This picture was painted again and again as holiday after holiday lambs were sacrificed and blood was shed for atonement. Then around 30 AD Yeshua, the Lamb of God shed His blood as the ultimate sacrifice and His blood was shed on the very same day that the original picture was painted in Egypt. Unfortunately, the veil has not yet been removed from so many Jews today and therefore they are blind to the fact that the Pesach/Passover they celebrate today paints a picture of their Jewish Messiah Yeshua. Pray for their eyes to be opened.

Nisan is the month of new beginnings. It is the month that we need to remind one another that our past is in the past and that there is no sin that is so great that it cannot be forgiven and erased. We are truly a new creation, and the blood of Jesus does not merely cover our sin, it erases it altogether. The Key for that to take place is to ask the Lord to forgive you and allow Jesus to take residence in your heart, by inviting Him in. The Bible says that He stands at the door and knocks. It is up to you to open the door of your heart and invite Him in.
The following paragraph is taken from Chabad.org by Menachem Posner:
The sages say that the first day of Nisan of that first year “took 10 crowns:” It was (1) the first day of the week; (2) the first day the princes brought their offerings; (3) the first day the Aaronic priesthood was put into effect; (4) the first day of the Temple sacrifices; (5) the first time a fire descended from heaven onto the altar; (6) the first time that sacred foods were eaten in the Tabernacle; (7) the first time that the Divine Presence rested amidst the people; (8) the first day the priests conferred the priestly blessing; (9) the first time it was forbidden to sacrifice to G‑d on ad hoc altars; and finally (10) it was the first month of the new year. Nisan is said to be “the month of miracles.” Is it any wonder that this month is considered a miracle month? After all, one of the greatest miracles ever recorded and witnessed by many was the resurrection from the dead of Jesus during Passover week. Miracles still happen today to those who believe. Pray and believe for a miracle this month.
