There are Christian scholars who anticipate the rapture of the Church to take place on Shavuot because this 50th day is the day of Jubilee or Deliverance. Let’s follow the pattern! King David was born and died on the same day. He was born on Shavuot and then we see he also was delivered at the age of 70 from this world system on the same day. The Church or Bride was born on Shavuot. Will she be delivered from this world system on the same day? This ministry sees this as a real possibility. However, we favor the likelihood of the rapture of the Bride of Christ to take place some year during the fall Feast of Trumpets, or Yom Teruah. The fall feasts are yet to be fulfilled. For this reason and many more, we favor the Feast of Trumpets in the fall. Both feasts are more than one day, answering the scripture that says, no one will know the day or the hour. For more in-depth teaching on the fall feasts see: Fall Feasts - Feast of Trumpets Part 3
It is true we cannot know the day or the hour, but we are to know the season. In the text, this word season is the Hebrew word Mo’ed, and it means “appointed times,” or feast days. This is why this ministry believes that the Rapture of the Bride/Church will take place on one of the feast days. Which one, and which day or year, only the LORD knows. So, the number 50 is very significant. Moving on now to the other numbers in the month of Sivan.
Bullinger in his book, Numbers in Scripture, tells us that the number 3 stands for that which is solid, real, substantial, complete, and entire. He says all things that are complete are stamped with the number 3, and that this number 3 denotes Divine perfection, and the number 7 denotes Spiritual perfection. From Genesis to Revelation, we see the signature of our creator in all His Glory and perfection in the use of the number 7. These prophetic numbers in the month of Sivan, tell us that this month was designed by HE who is Divine perfection and will move during His appointed time throughout history. With Spiritual perfection, He will bring deliverance to those that are HIS.
Sivan is mentioned in Esther and connected to the Jewish festival of Purim which takes place in the month of Adar. Esther found out that Haman the Prime minister had issued a decree to execute the Jews, and went before the King with a plan of her own to save the Jews. The result was that Haman was hung on the gallows instead of her cousin Mordechai. For a detailed study of how Esther accomplished this and how Purim has come to be, see: The Purim Story.
Haman may have been dead, but his evil decree was still in effect. According to Persian law, once a decree is issued, it cannot be rescinded. However, the king gave Mordechai and Esther permission, and without delay, wrote up a decree that stood against Haman’s edict. The decree permitted the Jews to defend themselves against their enemies. This decree was issued on the 23rd of Sivan. Then 9 months later, in the month of Adar, the Jews were victorious in defeating their enemies, and many Jewish lives were saved.
The Pictograph for the 3rd Month of Sivan סיון
ס = Samech = This Hebrew letter pictures the following: a prop, to support, twist slowly, and to turn.
י = Yod = This Hebrew letter pictures a hand, to work, to make, and a deed.
ו = Vav = This Hebrew letter pictures a nail, to add, to secure, and the vav is used as a conjunction.
ן = Noon = This Hebrew letter pictures a fish, activity, and life.
The Hebrew letters of the month of Sivan are prophetic for what took place during this month. Let’s put the puzzle pieces together. For the hand of the Lord secured the salvation of the believers by depositing the Holy Spirit within them, bringing them a new life. This deed of the Holy Spirit would turn believers into spiritual beings for the support and work and activity of the Kingdom, as they continued to fish for souls to be added to the Kingdom.
This year the month begins on the eve of May 31st and ends on June 29th. It is the third Hebrew month counting from Nisan. The First mention of Sivan in the Bible is in the book of Esther. Most often the months are not mentioned by name they are mentioned by their order, the first month, the second month, and so on. The month of Sivan is known as the month of “Liberation, and of Provision.”
Pentecost known in Hebrew as Shavuot is one of the most recognized feasts and it takes place in the month of Sivan. It is the feast that is connected to Passover when the counting of the Omar begins. After counting for 49 days, the feast of Shavuot begins the very next day, the 50th day. Pentecost means 50 in Greek, and that is how it got its name. Shavuot is the day that the Torah was given to the Israelites at Mount Sinai exactly 7 weeks from the Exodus from Egypt.
I am always looking for “the patterns of God” when I study His Word. We find the following patterns that are connected to Sivan. It is said that Moses, the 3rd born after Aaron and Miriam, was drawn out of the water when he was 3 months old, and this took place in the 3rd month, the month of Sivan. Isn’t it interesting that God used this man who was drawn out of the water as a baby, during the season of Shavuot, as His vessel to bring the Torah to the people of God on the 3rd month, and on this same day, so many years later? Then amazingly, the Church was born and the Holy Spirit was given to Yeshua’s followers on Shavuot as well. Shavuot is the day in history when the Giver of Gifts released the gifts of the Spirit of God to 3,000 people, to perfect them Spiritually. This gift-giving has multiplied throughout the globe, up until this very day. It is recorded that over 300,000,000 people today speak in other tongues as did the early believers. Another pattern of interest is that when the law was given 3,000 died, and when the Spirit was given, 3,000 were made alive. Praise the Lord for He is still the Gift Giver and is making people come alive every day. The life of King David is another pattern to be aware of. Shavuot/Pentecost is also traditionally known as the day that King David was born and also died. King David began to rule at the age of 30. He ruled for 40 years and died at the age of 70.
All through the biblical text, God speaks to us in numbers, for the mathematical mind, discovering the hidden manna in numbers would be a valued treasure hunt. Please understand I am not encouraging numerology! Numerology is Satan’s counterfeit and leads us away from the truth. Numbers in scripture unveil and reveal the truth that is hidden in plain sight, and the sequence of numbers in scripture has been given to us by the Greatest Mathematician of all time.
The month of Sivan has divine numbers for our exploration. The counting of the Omar for 49 days was to anticipate the feast of Pentecost or the 50th day.
